Double walls separating different building units with air gap provide the best sound insulation against airborne noise, as they benefit from the combined action of mass and the dissipative effect of the fibrous insulating material inside them. It is important to give life to the same wall system even in the presence of a low-thickness air gap, taking advantage of the technology of solutions designed specifically for these structures.
Isolmant solutions for air gap applications benefit from the technology of the special IsolFIBTEC PFT fibre, made up of approximately ¾ polyester fibres specifically designed in different lengths and denier, and the remaining ¼ of low melting material that allows the fibres to be heat-bonded. The structure of the panel has a density gradient along its thickness, thus enhancing its acoustic and mechanical performance. From a morphological point of view, the fibres show a high three-dimensional shape, which increases the flow resistance of the panel.
